Summer Conference Housing Accommodations
Accommodations
Michigan State University provides a wide range of housing options for our summer conference housing guests.
What should you bring to campus if you are staying in a residence hall?
Residence Hall Rooms- Suite Style
Residence Hall rooms are furnished with bunk beds (some with safety rail), desks, chairs, and dresser. Rooms may either be single or double occupancy. Single occupancy is based on space availability, and is reserved for adult guests.
The following amenities are included at no additional cost:
- Linens, blanket, pillow, and towels
- Evening front-door security
- Use of most intramural sport facilities on MSU campus
- Shared restrooms by gender (one restroom for two bedrooms)
- Lounges and public areas within building, as available
Residence Hall Rooms- Community Style
Residence Hall rooms are furnished with bunk beds (some with safety rail), desks, chairs, and dresser. Rooms may either by single or double occupancy. Single occupancy is based on space availability, and is reserved for adult guests.
The following amenities are included at no additional cost:
- Linens, blanket, pillow, and towels
- Locked community bathrooms per floor (by gender)
- Evening front-door security
- Lounges and public areas within building, as available
- Use of most intramural sport facilities on MSU campus
- Evening front door security
Apartment-Style Accommodations
Apartment-style accommodations include private kitchens and bathroom facilities, as well as furnished common living areas.
The following amenities are included at no additional cost in apartment accommodations:
- Linens, blanket, pillow, towels
- Private kitchen
- Private bathroom (per apartment)
- Furnished common living area
- Air conditioning (in some accommodations)
- Use of most intramural sport facilities on MSU campus
Dining Services
Michigan State University has thirteen award-winning restaurants within the residence halls. Each is capable of providing a broad range of services including banquets, picnics, boxed lunches or all-you-care-to-eat meals. Menus are planned with a wide variety of entrées, side dishes, salads, beverages, and desserts. In addition, our staff is always ready to coordinate meals that meet specific dietary restrictions.
Meeting Facilities
Campus Living Services offers over 200 meeting spaces conveniently available within the residence halls. Academic space is also available throughout the campus and can be booked through Conference & Event Services. In addition, we can facilitate utilizing other campus venues.
- The use of most intramural sport facilities is included with conference packages.
- Residential Services offers over 200 meeting spaces available within the residence halls. In addition, academic space throughout campus is available.
- The Wharton Center for the Performing Arts offers both the 2,500-seat Great Hall and the 600-seat Pasant Stage.
- The Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center’s thirty-two meeting rooms can accommodate as many as 2,500 people.
- The Breslin Student Events Center, a 16,000-seat arena and home of Spartan basketball, is fully handicap-accessible.
- MSU’s Agriculture and Livestock Education Center can accommodate 2000 people in arena seating and 380 in the auditorium, as well as up to 368 exhibit booths.
- The MSU Auditorium seats 3,800 people, while the adjoining Fairchild Theater seats 676.
- The MSU Union has multiple meeting rooms that can accommodate anywhere from 20 to 500 guests.
Summer Camps
Michigan State University offers a vast variety of summer academic and sport camps that offer quality programming that only a Big 10 university can! The professionals teach programs, and supervision is key to their success, both on and off the field. Please refer to the Summer Youth Guildlines.
